FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
IIOSS SeiJuku™ Management Profiler
Q. Why don’t you provide an electronic version of the IIOSS SeiJuku Management Profiler?
A: We at IIOSS have found that conducting the Management Profiler via sending the profiler by mail or online is not highly professional. Not only do these procedures provide no control of testing conditions but usually they also involve the interpretation of profiler scores in the absence of the other pertinent information about the individual. Under these conditions, the results may be worse than useless.
Q. Can I take the IIOSS SeiJuku Management Profiler in a personalized setting, at my own convenience?
A: Yes, you can take the Management Profiler at your convenience since there is no time limit. However, we highly recommend taking this profiler in a group setting: all group members will work under the same physical conditions, will be getting the same verbal instructions, will be given approximately the same time, and will be provided with the same additional clarification if needed. Taking the profiler in a group setting will enable us to make more valid statistical analyses and comparisons.
Q. How do you protect my privacy in taking the IIOSS SeiJuku Management Profiler?
A: A person should not be taking the Profiler under false premises. Of primary importance is to have a clear understanding with the examinee regarding the use of the profiler results. Furthermore, the examinee has the right to decline his/her participation in taking the profiler.
Q. How do you treat the confidentiality of my results?
A: The examinee will have access to the findings, will have the opportunity to comment on the report and, if necessary, to clarify or correct the factual information. For these purposes, the profiler results are presented in a form that readily understandable, and oriented toward the immediate objective of testing. The profiler results will not be released to a third person without the knowledge and consent of the examinee. In organizational context, the examinees will be informed at the time of testing regarding the purpose of the profiler, how the results will be used, and their availability to organizational/institutional personnel who have a legitimate need for them.
Q. What if I want to re-take the IIOSS SeiJuku Management Profiler?
A: If the Management Profiler is given to the same individual twice with some period in between, some changes in the results will occur. Our experience shows that the following reasons are important in getting different results in re-taking the profiler: in-between coaching, changes in the circumstances, profiler sophistication and improvement, some significant personal changes (getting married/divorced , changing job, etc.)
IIOSS SeiJuku™ Organization Profiler
Q. Who in my company should take this profiler?
A: We highly recommend that the top and middle management take this profiler. The heads of the functions like Strategic Planning, Research and Development, and Human Resource Development are amongst those who should take this profiler. In some cases, even some influential non-management employees can take this profiler making a huge contribution in getting the right corporate diagnosis of the phase and health. Having different points of view is especially valuable in diagnosing the health of different entities within the organization.
Q. What if I disagree with the diagnosis provided in the Organization Profiler Report?
A: We are open to discuss the differences – you will probably agree with us that the organizations are too complex and any attempt to diagnose them by using a set of questions, sometimes can be not sufficient or can be not accurate enough. If the results of this profiler does not seem to fit you, please ask yourself the following question: Did I chose what I was feeling is the right at the time of taking the Profiler, without any accommodation? Should you want and IIOSS Certified Practitioner evaluate this report with you over the phone or on-line, please contact Mr. Satoshi Osawa at 03-6436-3351.
Q. How accurate is the General Health Index if there is a big difference in the health indexes of different entities?
A: Different parts of the human body can be at different health level but, generally speaking, this particular individual predominantly behaves as being at some particular developmental stage. It is the same with the organizations: different entities can be at different health level but the organization behaves as being at some of the SeiJuku Lifecycle phases. It is impossible to say which entity determines the general behavioral pattern but, very often, the management is the driving force for this behavior.
Q. What if I want to compare the results for my organization with some similar organization?
A: We provide this service, too. If you contact our office, we will be able to tell you whether we have some similar organization already in our database or not. However, please be aware of that we do not disclose the names of our clients – you will be provided with a comparison analysis but without mentioning the other party’s name. What we can tell you is the following: the industry to which that organization belongs to, the size of that organization, and the country where it operates.
Q. What if I want to conduct a live diagnostic session with my management team?
A: Sure, that is always possible. We will provide a certified IIOSS Practitioner to conduct this session. You should allocate from 1 to 2.5 days (depending on the size of the organization), gather the management team and provide a facility to conduct this session. The end result of this session will be an in-depth diagnosis and Transformation Plan™.
IIOSS Transformation™ Consulting
Q. What is the timeframe for applying the whole IIOSS Transformation Program in my company?
A: It all depends on where you are right now - probably it is impossible to predict any time frame for reaching the SeiJuku Phase. Many factors such as the industry, the environment, the competition, the company's health level determines the amount of time needed to conduct the whole program.
However, the organization should make continuous changes in all entities and relationships in order to stay in SeiJuku phase. The champions, in order to remain so, should put much more efforts that they have put in earning the title. Being on the top means having a lot of rivals interested in taking over the throne. So, it seems like a lifetime task to keep the organization at the SeiJuku phase.
Q. How many reports with recommendations and suggestions coming out of the program should I read?
A: A few pages only. We do not base our work on nicely prepared reports, power point presentations, and academic discussions. We sit together with the client, work on finding solutions, and we monitor the implementation of the solutions. So, no reports but a hard field work.
Q. What amount of work-force engagement is needed in applying the Program?
A: You will decide about the level of work-force involvement. You know your organization the best; you will allocate the right resources. Our task is to assist you in doing so.
Q. Do you apply the program within the business hours?
A: Some parts of the program are applied out of the business hours – when we do some major diagnostic or therapeutic steps. Most of the program is within the business hours and conducted in the company’s facilities.
Q. In which languages you provide the program?
A: So far, in Japanese and English. Soon we will be able to offer our program in Chinese, Spanish, and Russian.
